Don't think about it, now. There's no time. Winterhold is still in danger.
Faralda is the first to speak up, sharp with concern. "What's going on? What happened in there?"
"There's no time. We have to make sure Winterhold is safe."
The mages, apprentices and instructors alike, work together seamlessly to deal with magical anomalies Ancano has unleashed. Under any other circumstances, it might have been a moment to be proud of.

"Well?" Mirabelle demands, turning sharply. "Is everything out there all right?"
"Winterhold is safe for now." And given how quickly the situation is escalating, it's probably best not to wonder how long that safety will last.
"Wish I could say the same for us." Mirabelle sighs and drops her face into her hand for a moment - and for that moment, the pressure she's under very nearly becomes a visible presence, wrapping itself around her. Then the moment is over, and she's all business once again. "Look, Tolfdir and I can try and keep this contained. You need to get your hands on the Staff of Magnus. Now."
"Why me?" It's a stupid thing to even think, let alone ask. Now is not the time.
And yet when she answers, it's in the same crisp, business-like tones as ever. "I've got to stay here, see if we can get to Ancano and stop all this. So I need someone I can trust to retrieve the staff. Besides - you're the one having all these visions, aren't you?"
"Then I suppose I'm off to Labyrinthian."
Within twenty minutes you've been hustled out the door, and as you start over the bridge and down into Winterhold proper, you can't help but run your fingertips over the torque now resting around your neck - which Savos apparently insisted be given to you just in case. You wonder if it was just coincidence or some sort of hint to him from the Divines after all.
You don't look back at the college as you walk, focusing on hiring a carriage to take you as close to Labyrinthian as the roads allow. You don't let yourself think too hard about what all you're leaving behind.
There'll be time to grieve later. For now, you've got a job to do.
